QLD Tint Laws
The following are the current QLD tint laws:
Front sides: Minimum Visible Light Transmission (VLT) of 35%. This means that at least 35% of visible light must pass through the window, glass and tint combined.
Rear sides/rear screen: Minimum Visible Light Transmission (VLT) of 20%. This means that at least 20% of visible light must pass through the window, glass and tint combined.
Windscreen: Only visor strips which must not cover more than 10% of the windscreen or impede the windscreen wiper arch at its highest point.
